Tiny but toughEurope’s smallest owl, the Eurasian pygmy owl, is known to be the most aggressive and hot-tempered of the owls. This owl is a terror to small birds, and has even been known to bite birds larger than itself.
The Eurasian pygmy owl is found in Uppland’s forests, and stays all year long. The owl’s hoots may be heard at dawn and dusk.
