Ängskär and Bondskäret

These two points jut out into the sea along the northern coast of Uppland. Here, you can wander along the beaches’ bare rocky outcrops. If you look closely, you can see striations on the rocks left behind from the ice age. The land has risen quite a lot in this area, and the little pool frog does well here because of it. The beaches are lined with sea-buckthorn, and you might also see orchids like the lesser butterfly-orchid or the creeping lady’s tresses. Bring your binoculars, because these areas are full of bird life!
