Strawberry Clover

Latin: Trifolium fragiferum (Linné 1753)
Svenska: Smultronklöver
Deutsch: Erdbeer-Klee

Inflated
Strawberry clovers look very similar to white clovers, until they bloom that is. When a strawberry clover blooms, it inflates to resemble a wild strawberry!

Strawberry clovers are quite common along Uppland’s coast, but are also occasionally found inland. There was strawberry clover at one time near Krusenberg’s shore meadow, about 10km south of Uppsala.
