16 degrees in the water, please!Pool frogs love warmth. The rest of the frogs in Uppland mate when the water is cold, but pool frogs wait until the water is at least 16°C!
In Sweden, pool frogs are only found along the coast in northern Uppland. The Uppland pool frog’s closest relative is in the Baltics.
In the winter, pool frogs go into hibernation buried in the mud. If you want to hear these frogs, you should visit the northern coast of Uppland near the end of May.
