Björn’s Archipelago
Just off the coast of northern Uppland lies Björn’s archipelago, with six larger islands and a number of smaller skerries. There are about 3,000 nesting pairs of birds here, including Sweden's largest colony of Caspian terns. The water is quite shallow, and the southern portion of the archipelago is mostly impassable. There are many small bays, with varying levels of isolation from the sea.
