Örskar island is an important rest stop for migrating birds. You can see thousands of chaffinches or wood pigeons fly by at the same time. The ground on Örskar is rich in limestone, and there are as many as 18 species of orchids! There are also a few pool frogs here. If you visit in June, you might hear them but perhaps not see them – they’re quite shy.
