Many tits nest in holes abandoned by woodpeckers. The crested tit, though, is quite the 'handyman' - it builds its own nesting place in an old tree stump.

Crested tits are quite common in coniferous and mixed forests in Uppland. To see one, head out to Nåsten or walk along Linneaus' Jumkil path.
