Willow Tit
Latin: Poecile montanus (Conrad 1827)
Svenska: Talltita
Deutsch: Weidenmeise
Inquisitive
During a walk in the forest, willow tits will often curiously peek out at you. You can recognize it by its call : 'tee tee teh teh'. Both the willow tit and the crested tit build their own nesting holes in half-rotted tree trunks.
Willow tits are found in coniferous and mixed forests throughout Uppland.
The willow tit is primarily non-migratory, but some years these birds may migrate shorter distances.
