Black-throated divers are found around lakes throughout Uppland. If you want to hear the mysterious black-throated diver, try Pansarudden in eastern Uppsala, especially late in the evenings of May.
These birds migrate to the Mediterranean and Black Seas from August to November. A small number stay behind and spend the winter near the Baltic Sea. Black-throated divers return in April and May.
