Siberian Jay
Latin: Perisoreus infaustus (Linné 1758)
Svenska: Lavskrika
Deutsch: Unglückshäher
Curious
The Siberian jay lives in families. They are quite curious and will often peek out to investigate, especially at hikers taking a coffee break.
Siberian jays are not commonly seen in Uppland. Their closest nesting places are in Jädraås in Gästrikland, about 60km north of Uppland.
These jays stay close to their nesting areas throughout the winter.
