Neeeh!
Close to a million bramblings fly by Uppland every year. You have probably heard one! When the brambling is resting, you can often hear its nasal ‘neeeh’ calling from every bush.
Close to one hundred bramblings raise their chicks in Uppland every year. The majority of the bramblings seen in Uppland actually nest in Norrland. Up in Norrland, there might be as many as two million bramblings in the summertime!
Many bramblings pass by Uppland on their way south, in October. They migrate to Denmark and other areas in Western Europe. You might see bramblings by your bird feeder as early as April.
